How do I book an escape room?
Please reserve your escape room experience at escapesantafe.com. Walk-ins subject to availability.
Will I be playing with other participants?
Yes, unless you book the entire room for your group and purchase all the tickets for the room capacity. Booking the entire room does require you to have the maximum number of participants, but you do need to pay for the full room. Otherwise it is likely that other people will purchase tickets and be playing the game with your group, which can add to the fun.
Can I come by myself? Is it better with a group?
We require a minimum of four players per room. We highly recommend that you book with a group of friends or family. However, you may buy a single ticket and join others. If you wish to have the room solely for your group, but do not have a maximum of eight participants, then you must purchase the entire room, which consists of eight slots.
Can I book an entire room?
IMPORTANT INFO: All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your game start time. These are live-action events: if you arrive after your game has started, you may not be allowed to participate.
How do I book multiple participants at the same time?
You can book all participants using one credit card or each person can reserve their booking using their own credit cards. We advise you to coordinate the reservation details including the room, date and time of your choice among your group to ensure that your entire group is booking the correct room. Simply select the number of players you will be bringing in the drop-down menu at the top of our booking page.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Reservations can be booked here
Yes! Reservations can be booked at escapesantafe.com. Walk-ins and last-minute reservations may be available; please call 505 303-3876.
Can we pick a time that isn’t available on your calendar?
Absolutely, we can always book a special time, however the minimum purchase is 1 full room. We can do this any time before or after our current schedule, or even on days closed. Please email email@example.com to schedule.
Am I really going to be “locked” in a room?
No, not really. You will be in a room with a closed door during the game. However, should you feel the need to leave the room, you may do so at any time. Should you choose to leave during the 60-minute time limit, your game is over. However, the remainder of your group may continue until the time runs out or succeed in escaping.
This is so awesome, I love tearing things apart.
You will NOT be tearing things apart. None of our games require the use of force. If something seems secured in place, it is. Don’t guess random combinations, try to pick locks, or use force to try opening locks. Do not punch holes in walls, tear paintings off walls or shove tools into light switches. Examine clues and solve the crime in a calm manner. Our props and clues are designed to be looked at, examined and interacted with, but if you break or destroy something with force, reckless behavior or malicious intent, you will be held responsible to pay for it. Also, you must NOT remove any props, keys or anything else in the room. Not only with that ruin the game for the next group, but you will be charged with replacing the object. Note: Our game masters will be monitoring your game during the full session using both video and audio surveillance.
Is it scary?
Escape Santa Fe games are not scary; however, there is time pressure and there will be some moments that may surprise you. Our games are FUN and in the end, you will leave with a feeling of heightened adrenaline.
How early should I arrive for my game?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your escape room experience start time. All games will begin exactly at their start times; late arrivals may be less likely to escape or may not be allowed to play.
IMPORTANT INFO: All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your game’s start time. These are live-action events: if you arrive after your game has started, you may not be allowed to participate.
How much does it cost?
Games are $30.00 per person plus tax.
What are my chances of winning?
Anyone can escape, but not all do. Teamwork is a must. Remember, it isn’t only about escaping, but how quickly you and your fellow agents escape. Game masters will be observing you from the control room, and you may ask for hints – however, some hints will cost you a deduction in time so ask for hints carefully.
Can we bring alcohol? Do you sell it?
We do not sell alcohol and do not allow drinks while playing the game. Successfully escaping requires skill, and playing intoxicated would limit your ability to decipher clues and contribute to the team effort.
PLEASE NOTE: If members of your group appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will not be allowed in the room. This decision will be made at the discretion of our staff and no refunds or exchanges will be permitted. We take this very seriously as it could cause damage to the room, to yourself or others, and adversely affect others’ enjoyment of the experience.
What are nearby options for dining and/or drinks?
Escape Santa Fe is in the heart of Santa Fe, New Mexico, with an abundance of great restaurants and bars. After you are done, there will be plenty of options to recap your experience over a beer or a cocktail. As a matter of fact, we may provide you with coupons for some of our favorite places.
How do I pay?
All bookings are made online and paid in advance via credit card at the time of booking. Please choose carefully as all sales are final.
What if I need to cancel? What is your refund policy?
All sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges. However, we will try to accommodate rescheduling if you contact us at least 48 hours prior to your start time.
Where can I park?
Escape Santa Fe is located in the Luna Center and has its own parking lot! Parking is free to customers of Escape Santa Fe.
Is there an age limit? What about families?
Children ages 12 and under are not permitted at Escape Santa Fe, unless you are booking the entire room. Other groups of adults may not wish to play these games with young children. Due to the complexity of our puzzles the minimum age is 16 and there must be at least one adult over the age of 18 in the room at all times. All children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a release of liability waiver. This waiver is available and can be downloaded when purchasing the booking. Regardless of age, all participants must have a ticket.
Are ticket sales on your website secure?
Yes. All ticket sales go through a secure HTTPS booking link (via), but the address bar shows our address.
Can you accommodate private parties/corporate events/team-building?
Yes! The largest total number of participants our three rooms can accommodate at one time is 24 players. There are ways, through multiple time slots, to accommodate larger groups. Our post-mission team debrief further enhances your group's team-building experience.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a photo ID and the credit card that was used to make the booking reservation, along with a copy of the booking confirmation.
Can I play the same game twice?
It is highly recommended that you do not as it would be unfair to the other players who are there for the first time and want to decipher and solve the clues and puzzles themselves. It also would not be as much fun for you. You’re welcome to come back and try our other games as they are all unique. (See exception below)
Can I play the same game twice? Exception
Yes, IF the group fails to escape and you wish to try again, you may play the same game again, but it must be with the same group of people you played with the first time and you will be charged the same. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Can I bring my pet?
No pets of any kind are permitted in the room. If you have a service animal that must accompany you, you must contact us in advance of your scheduled booking and every effort to accommodate you will be made. Choices of dates and times may be limited.
Cell phones and other electronic devices must remain off and cannot be used during the games.
PLEASE keep the games a mystery! Don’t ruin the experience for others by revealing clues or answers to others. Thank you.
